The elements the poster had to incorporate were a lighthouse, cloudy skies with the sun rising in the morning, and a rocky coast. I used a difference diffuser in photoshop to create the clouds, designed the lighthouse in Illustrator taking inspiration from a few references, used a gradient for the sunrise and actual water to contrast the silhouette of the coast and lighthouse.

I darkened the sunrise colors to add a more ominous feel and increased the height of the canvas to match the poster size and quality. Originally, I was formatting the picture for a profile thumbnail. I rearranged the type so the it would not clash with the focus of the poster.
